Return and Refund Policy

Thank you for shopping with Dear India. We want you to love your purchase, but if something isn't quite right, we are here to help.

Our Return and Refund Policy applies to all purchases made through our store. Please read the guidelines below carefully to ensure a smooth process.

1. Return & Exchange Window

You have 7 days from the date you receive your order to request a return or an exchange. Unfortunately, if 7 days have passed since your delivery, we cannot offer you a refund or exchange.

2. Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for a return or exchange, your item must meet the following conditions:

  • The item must be unworn, unused, unwashed, and in the same condition that you received it.

  • All original tags, labels, and branding packaging must be completely intact.

  • The item must be returned in its original packaging.

  • A receipt or proof of purchase is required to process your request.

Please Note: Items sent back to us without first requesting a return via email will not be accepted.

3. How to Initiate a Return or Exchange

We have streamlined our process to make it as convenient as possible for you:

  1. Email Us: Send an email to hi@dearindia.in within 7 days of receiving your order. Please include your Order Number, the name of the item(s) you wish to return or exchange, and a brief description of the issue (along with photos if the item is damaged or incorrect).

  2. Evaluation: Our team will review your request within 24–48 hours.

  3. Pickup Arrangement: Once your request is approved, we will arrange a reverse pickup from your original delivery address at no extra hassle to you.

4. Inspection and Verification

Upon receipt of the returned item at our warehouse, our quality assurance team will conduct a thorough inspection to verify its condition.

  • If the item meets our eligibility criteria, your return or exchange will be approved.

  • If the item shows signs of wear, damage, or is missing original tags/packaging, the return may be rejected, and the item will be sent back to you.

5. Exchanges

If you wish to exchange an item for a different size, color, or style:

  • The replacement item will only be dispatched after your original item has been successfully received, inspected, and approved by our team.

  • If the requested replacement size or item is out of stock, we will issue a refund or store credit instead.

6. Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

  • Approved Refunds: If approved, your refund will be processed automatically, and a credit will be applied to your original method of payment within 7 to 10 business days.

  • Delayed Refunds: Please note that it may take additional time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund to your account. If you haven’t received your refund after 15 business days of approval, please contact us at hi@dearindia.in.

7. Damages, Defective, or Incorrect Items

Please inspect your order immediately upon receipt. If the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, contact us right away at hi@dearindia.in so we can evaluate the issue and make it right immediately.

8. Non-Returnable Items

Certain types of items cannot be returned due to hygiene or promotional reasons:

  • Sale items, clearance items, or items purchased using specific promotional gift cards (unless explicitly stated otherwise).

  • Gift cards.
